Osho, formerly the Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh, was
one of the great
teachers and masters (some say the greatest) of inner development in modern times. Although he has
departed his physical body, he left us an incredible array of books,
recorded lectures, and people who received his training and taken his
teachings to every part of the planet. He taught a
variety of meditation techniques. At least one or more of these
techniques is certain to help any motivated student on the pathway to
attaining enlightening experiences.

Sankara Saranam has written an excellent book and a supporting web site titled
God Without Religion setting
forth a more rational and intelligent approach to spiritual development and
personal knowledge of God. Sankara's book is a clear light illuminating a path
of inner development and discovery for those who seek spiritual truth but
wish to avoid religious dogma.

The Internet contains significant stores of good information, immeasurable masses of
ignorance and stupidity, and a vast landscape of all variations between the
two. We continually look for web sites and documents that might be
interesting and helpful to our members and friends.
- The Campaign to Defend the
Constitution is a grassroots movement that works against the growing
political power of right-wing religious groups.
- Interesting political and historical background on the separation of
church and state can be read on the
Theocracy Watch web site.
- A writer named T. Michael acknowledges in his
weblog that Buddha and Jesus
were Masters and recounts conversations with both after recovering
from a horrible struggle with cancer. From reading his accounts of these
conversations, we find nothing that disagrees with other enlightened
teachers and masters and, in contrast, we discovered many details and insights that
seem to indicate a personal knowledge of God. We recommend this reading to the
interested seeker.
- Scott Adams (the creator of the Dilbert cartoon) writes a
weblog where he discusses
many interesting topics, sometimes philosophical but always easy to read,
and where he also flogs religion on a regular basis.
